... what makes Spiderman workon the screen are a great script, good acting, and believable characters with substance and depth. The special effects are good, not great, but virtually all of the comic book's main characters have been visually established with only a minimal amount of tampering with the original concept; that is a grand achievement, IMHO.

As I whispered to wifey as the end-credits rolled and the audience applauded, ...it's a DVD; she smiled knowing exactly what I meant!
