yea, I heard that story too--but it doesn't seem to be worth anything, unless you want to remove your hard drive and install that in your player. I don't think anyone's going to be sending Titanic over a 28.8 phone line anytime soon. What I like about the story is that somebody is willing to spend all that time busting the asses of the music/movie syndicates and then post the work for free. As an audiophile, I'm always paying extra to get the best copy of the software. But I suppose the unwashed masses will always be willing to pay $5 to a street vendor to get a bad copy of a VHS filmed in a movie theater with a cheap hand-held video camera. Owning software is on its way out. Soon everyone will be renting downloads from the corporate database any time they want. I'd rather have my shelfspace anyway. I could fill it with a beer can collection or something useful like all my back issues of Stereo Review.
