Looked a heck of a lot better than the film version. Anyone have any info on the projectors and what source component they use for these displays?
Follow Ups:
As I understand it digitally created elements look great on large screen DLP, but filmed elements transfered to a digital medium do not (i.e., I hear that the image looks "soft"). Having said that I watched the digitally "filmed" AOTC at a DLP cinema in Dallas and found it "visually" impressive if nothing else. My concern is that movies which require location shooting rather than CGI to tell their stories will suffer on large screen DLP displays. The $64,000 question is how will these plot and character driven films look at a DLP screening when such movies will obviously be transfered from film elements to the digital medium?AuPh
