An online news report stated, a couple of months ago, that he is in talks with the LA DA's office and is coming back to the US soon. The Canne win just about seals it...good timing, huh ?
Apparently the updated "word" is, that Polanski, while he may have a deal with LA law eforcement authorities, he is afraid of individual complainants, who could sue him and bring other criminal charges against him from other states, etc.
