of the year...or the decade ? From Hell...he seems so lost...in fact, you have the feeling that everybody is..in this video clip.
Follow Ups:
I happened to notice that 'From Hell' received a vote rating of 7.0 (!) on www.imdb.com. Ya gotta wonder about that one. I do think imdb.com is a valuable resource for it's obsessively detailed archive of general information as well as the user comments sections which often yield some interesting discussions on films, (although I usually pay little attention to the vote rating). Thinking about it, I gotta say that one should give some credit where it's due to the supporting crew members of 'For Hell'. Looking at Chris Dale's work as the clapper loader: re-shoots, it's quite evident that he wringed the last bit of quality that could be retrieved, just as he did with the stellar management of his job as camera loader for 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin'. I also, upon reflection, would say that 'For Hell' would have suffered to an even greater degree had not Tom Teiger been there to pull things in as the property master. This hearkens back to his equally fine work (from 1988) as key property master in 'Yellow Pages'.:^D

I saw it a couple of weeks ago and what a miserable experience it was. Nothing more than a reworking of Murder By Decree. Better had it been an examination of the theory that the murders were committed by James Maybrick as outlined in The Diary of Jack the Ripper. I was hoping to see a recreation of the Mary Kelly murder scene but all we got were a couple of glimpses. A cheat all the way around. To answer your question would you say no if a dump truck full of money showed up at your house and you could hang around with Heather Graham?
I am afraid beeing beautiful ( for women ) his only role, is to stuck to it....
Felt like I was watching a made-for-TV-movie attempting to spice itself up with a lurid title and a bit of poorly stylized violence. As I was drifting off to sleep about half-way through it was agreed to abort the mission and hit the 'stop' button. Very dull and uninspired filmmaking (IMHO of course).

Witch herb..do you mean ?
Well, I certainly wouldn't be surprised if the evil-herb-otherwise-known-as-cilantro was used in witches brews of yore. The C.C.A.C. may even argue that the decline of modern civilization could be traced to the growing popularity of the so-called spice. If people only knew...:^D

I must have fallen asleep 3 times, and this after all the critics raving about it.
Actually,i do not want to be injust, one role was well played..no wonder he is an English classic...and his name is not even of the cover of this dvd, Ian holm...
I thought the plot premise was rather interesting, but the film ruined it in so many ways.Did anyone else who suffered through this turd notice how clean the streets and people of turn-of-the-century London were portrayed?
Patrick Süskind.....
