I have a Toshiba SD-510E DVD player in the UK which was chipped by the retailer to play multi-region.Today I received my first overseas disc - region 1 `Gladiator` - and although everything else is fine, the subtitles will not disappear even though the display on the menu indicates `no subtitles` and all the configurations are correctly set.
I emailed the seller of the player and asked if this was possibly a faut of the chipping but they suggested that it may be a faulty disc; I must add that they also gave me the number of their engineer to ring if this was not the case.
Next week I hve a couple more US discs coming over so will have to see if this problem is repeated.I`d be interested to know if anyone`s had similar or indeed any problems with multi-region players acting up with overseas discs.
