I agree totally with your thoughts on this- Black is also a great new talent.
BTW, I seem to remember two little-known actors (new at the time)named John Cusack and Demi Moore in a cheesy early 80's comedy called "One Crazy Summer".
Check it out for your daily recommendation of cheese!
I, for one love this stupidity!
Cheers, with cheese!

Follow Ups:
Absolutely I remember that one, think I already mentioned it...along with Better Off Dead (same director as One Crazy Summer) and Hot Pursuit...these are the triumvirate of endearing, quirky, cheesy teen films. Love 'em all.
Check out the TV series VIP--"totally" campy.I never watched it before because Pamela Lee Anderson was in it and I thought it was regular private det. show.
I was wrong--it's like the silly martial arts spoofs--making fun of the genre. Pamela doesn't even try to act (thank god).
Just seeing her cock her head in wonderment, with pippy longstocking pig tails jutting out from her head makes me laugh. Then the gem, she says things like "you love him, you like totally want to have 10,000 of his babies!" In an semi affected valley girl accent.
too good to miss--the episode I saw was with Mark "skywalker" Hamilton, who is pretending to be a Canadian Mounty-excellent.
Thought it was Mark Hammill, but if its funny, who cares (plus, the guy can actually act!!!)?
Cheers

In this series "acting" is not important, so everyone in it does very well! I guess that's the beauty of it!Plus it's FREE--if your local stations carry it. Can't beat that.
No problem! I also spelt it wrong! It is Mark Hamill (not Hammill) OOPS!!!
Cheers, not cheese
