I would like the inside scoop.I have been hunting for three FANTASTIC, relatively recent hit shows, and they are not offered on DVD--what's up?
1) High Art--w/Ally Sheedy, Intense phsycological movie about a lesbian relationship intermingled with bohemian drug scene--acting is some of the best I've seen. Wether you're familiar with the lifestyle or not, this movie will move you, haunt you even.
2)Glorius --w/Eddie Izzard--his stand up routine is classy and showy, intelligent, and very tough to beat, and he's easy on the eyes if you know what I mean--Kind of like "Dennis Miller meets Malcom McDowell in a Clockwork Orange."
3)Brain Candy w/Kids in the Hall Canadian Comedy Troupe, this movie spoofs the American pharmaceutical companies marketing of the "get better quick and take a pill for every problem--and in the meantime fuel a gazillion dollar industry scheme." Whew, that was a mouthfull!
Follow Ups:
Strangely it wasn't nearly as funny as I remember it. I think it's one of those movies you can only watch a few times before the jokes get old. Might try renting before you buy.
I just ordered it!
That is one of my favourite comedies of all time!!!!!
K.I.T.H. RULES!!!!!!
Cheers

I'd like to see a compilation of the Second City Television Series.Eddie Izzard - I have both "Dress to Kill" and "Glorious" on VHS. Amazingly funny. Yeah, DVD would be great (even a combination of the two).
Brain Candy - Funny, yet a little dissapointing. I thought their television work was funnier. Of course that's IMHO, and what the hell do I know?
High Art - I always thought it was just a fantasy I had about Ally Sheedy in a lesbian situation, maybe I was watching this movie?
I'd also like to see a lot of the old Sci-Fi and Horror movies out on DVD.
