Although it was emotional and I cried in the theater at the end when the list came up, I found the condescending-ness of some scenes distasteful and others to consist entirely of Hollywood imagination.

You're entitled to your opinion but I totally disagree with you. I really don't understand where you're coming from but that's OK. To each his own. BTW, are you talking about When We Were Soldiers or Private Ryan?
If you care about looking at the movie from a points of view contrary to your own:
So, I guess that makes their opinion more valid than mine. I could give a rat's ass what some critic thinks...good or bad. I'm sure I could dig up some great reviews for the movie but what's the point? Most critics suck anyway...IMO.Like I said earlier...to each his own. I wasn't exactly thrilled with Blackhawk Down(as were a couple of my buddies) but one of those critics loved it. What's that mean? Absolutely nothing...it's an opinion..nothing more,nothing less.
