Have a chance to dump some 'older' versions of DVD's later today, wondering if Snatch is one to include. Do like some of the extras on the original release, but don't want two copies if I get the SB. TIA
Follow Ups:
I'm hoping that most of you use the Internet Movie Database. If not, try www.imdb.com. Its great. Anyway, to link right to the page for Snatch, C&P this http://us.imdb.com/DVD?0208092I had no idea, but there are two releases of this already, a 1-disc, and a 2-disc (thank you, Lawrence Welk!) I would imagine that the superbit version is simply an upgrade to teh 20disc version. I'll get it either way because I loved the movie. Watch that, and follow it up with "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" and you've got an evening of good stuff!
Yes it is but not available until Sept. 17. Let us know if it's worth it.
and for the link, hadn't heard of them. I had read in one place only it was a 2 disc set, I had thought that unusual for a Superbit (but on checking I see I have at least one other 2 disc SB), and wanted to trade away my Snatch before it had lots of competition in 3 weeks.[Just a note: A&B is noticeably cheaper on all the discs on my list that I looked at at Videoflicks, if you're buying online. e.g. the SB Snatch is $7 cheaper, Reservoir Dogs is $5 cheaper. I buy so many DVD/CD that every bit is worthwhile. A&B being out of province means no PST too, another 8% saving, I am a cheap bastard. A&B is totally useless for info though.]
I didn't know about A&B. What has your experience with them been like? You were right about their lack of info.
has been *perfect*. No complaints at all, I've bought tons of stuff from them. They only allow 8 items in a shipment now. The tax savings alone on my orders (never less than $100) pays for the $6.75 shipping, which always gets to here from Vancouver in 2 days (surprisingly reliable that way). The only competition I've found for them online or BAM for DVD is sometimes Wal-Mart. Their CD prices have been going up, but still good. Not good for DVD-A or SACD yet, poor selection etc. Very very occasionally they are off-base on pricing an item, so still be sure to check around. If they don't have what you want, e-mail them and ask. They *always* say "can't get it" and then 2 weeks later it's listed on their web site, funny that way.
