I think great musicals and fantasies stand up to repeat viewing better than any other type of film. Dramas tend to loose their impact unless they are extremely well done and horror/mysteries fare the worst, for obvious reasons. Hitchcock being an exception (especially when Grace Kelly is in the film! hubba hubba).
All the films I have listed I would watch again and again. They all gain with each viewing. Of course one has to wait some time before watching them one more time, otherwise you saturate your taste buds, as it were.
Great films were made to be seen many times, just as great literature is to be read and reread throughout ones life.
