Has anyone ever seen this in a video store? I saw it a jillion years ago and would like to see it again. And, City of Women as well. I guess these were considered Fellini Stinkers and not duplicated?
Follow Ups:
I believe there was a LaserDisc. There certainly was a tape issue.
There is a listing currently on eBay, but it is not be the normal tape. That VHS now sells for more than $80 when it shows up.
Thanks for the info. I was more interested in a simple rental. 8^)
Looks like that is out . . . .
a Japanese import.
Hello,Does anybody know the original aspect ratio of Fellini's Casanova? Thank you very much.
can be quite readilly found on VHS and is actually worth watching, but Casanova was critically slammed on its release and is about as close as Fellini ever got to a stinker, so you've got your work cut out finding that one m'thinks
Unfortunately, there's now way Casanova holds up against a film like Satyricon which does it all so much better; I've always wondered why Fellini bothered as Casanova is pale fare indeed compared to his other works

City of Women has been released on DVD in the USA. I haven't seen a copy, so I don't know if the transfer is well done or not. It is quite a good, funny film, and certainly much, much better than Casanova.
