Hi, let me ask you if you´ve ever found Two Against The City (Alain Delon, Jean Gabin) in DVD format. It´s a french film from 1973. I´ve found it in VHS format but never in DVD.
Any comments welcome.

I have always loved the old French underworld films with Jean Gabin, Yves Montand, Alain Delon, Jean Paul Belmondo, Gerand Depardieu and others. Unfortunately finding them here, in the heart of the US is nearly impossible, so every such date is a celebration. The imdb says "Deux hommes dans la ville" was released in the US in 1976, but I was not able to find it. Did you find the tape in the US or elsewhere? I know my wife would love to see it - she just loves Gabin. Have you seen it yet? How was it?
Hi, Viktor
It seem you´re almost an expert here.
Lemme tell you the movie is a perfect example of the french cinema from the early 70s. It has a very tough message against death-punishment (I don´t know the right american name for that).
I do recommend it, particularly if you like Delon and Gabin. This man plays an immensurable role as a curator of the first, who is a former convict.
I thought I found it in VHS in an online store, yet I dodn´t buy it.
Thank you Marcelo, I wish I really were an expert, but far from it.I do love Gabin a lot, and he played many roles in that general genre. Just to mention a couple: "Touchez pas au grisbi" and "Le Soleil des voyous" - both quite memorable. But finding them here in the US is incredibly difficult. My store that I usually use is one of the better ones in the country, but it still only has a few of his films.
I like Delon less, I think he is a less significant actor, but he was unforgettable in the "Rocco and His Brothers".
