I know exactly what it was for me with Eureka, total lust for Theresa Russel. Having seen the film recently I can say it is terrible otherwise. I watched many bad films to lust after Theresa.
Follow Ups:
Now I know what it was about those films. Friends and I had been impressed by Subway and Highlander and a girlfriend had a thing for Christopher Lambert so we rented The Sicilian. It looked to be as turgid as Heaven's Gate and we weren't let down.As for Theresa Russell I thought she was good in Insignificance and Eureka also had Rutger Hauer who was cool in Blade Runner. Plus Eureka, Insignificance, and The Man Who Fell to Earth (all Roeg films) were mentioned in the Big Audio Dynamite song E=MC2 which we played a lot at the time.
