Star Wars 2 is one I'm not looking forward too. I got real sick of the hype and reaction for the first one (positive and negative). Hopefully the second time around everyone will just shut up.Is anyone a bit perturbed about EP1 being released worldwide on VHS but delayed indefinitely on DVD? I'm not going to buy the tape and I'm pretty sure I won't go see EP2 or EP3 until it's released on DVD. Lucas likes to toot his horn about being the first to use Dolby Surround, Surround EX, and digital "film" but why not release it on DVD!? Tannehill is right, he's got his head up his ass.

Actually he probably is a marketing genius. When the coffiers get a bit less than three metric tons, release a new/improved version of Star Wars. Build up expectation. Have many who have both VHS and DVD first buy the VHS, then much later release the DVD version and they buy all over again.Star Wars was released in the 70's and special versions were released in '99 making buccoo bucks still. Which generate/maintain the "back end" tie-ins to toys, which generates more interest in old/new versions, which then helps fill the coffiers back to the normal 10 metric tons of $100 bills!
