which part did you hate ...1) the full 3D character development?
2) the understated humor?
3) the constantly evolving polt & sub-plots?
I know the friend's actor (pilot) wasn't upto the job, but everyone else was fine. At least he didn't destroy the movie, like Chris Tucker in "5th Element".

Take out the obvious marketing gimmicks (spider smith and blawp, designed to sell more 64 oz bladder busters at circle K) and you've actually got a pretty good movie that remains faithful the first season of LIS, which was ground breaking sci-fi for it's time. (Remember the sorta salt-shaker-christmas-ornament-shaped ship in episode 2, "The Derelict"? Nothing like it had ever been seen before on TV or in the movies until Star Wars appeared nearly 17 years later).I also thought Matt LeBlac's performance was excellent, as was the kid who played Will (can't remember his name offhand), and Gary Oldman was perfect as Dr. Smith. Mimi Rogers seemed a bit lost but she really wasn't given much to do..... and I don't think she likes playing a mom after being such a hottie for the past decade.
I doubt that there will be a sequel since New Lines plans for a big video rollout bombed but if there is it should be easy to correct the mis-steps of the first movie for a really excellent second installment.

are "bladder blasters" an alias for a super-soakers?& what's a "Circle K"?
what was "Mimi Rogers" in? I don't recall ever seeing her before?
...with big, no, make it VERY big, shall we say, aspirations? Her greatest contribution was in breaking-in Tom Cruse - she was his first wife. He dumped her - she is older that he.I sort of like her, she is much less offensive than your typical Hollywood star. Don't recall any truly good roles, though.
64 oz "bladder buster" - giant size pop guaranteed to make you pee twice before you finish it.Circle K = Convenience store = "no shirt, no shoes, no problem"
You can check out Mimi Rogers' past film roles on the IMBD. Full Body Massage!!!!!!!!!!!
