That's an interesting tidbit about Savage' "flight", thanks for sharing! I'm not surprised about Donner wanting to do a small film after Superman-I've read a number of articles about the making of that film, as well as listened to Donner and Tom Manckewicz' commentary on the DVD.

My favorite scene in the movie is Savage and Scarwid dancing to Sinatra's Put Your Dreams Away-very touching.
