--The music is live and jump at you in the way " Ascenseur pour L´echafaud " did. That's because Wayne Shorter wrote it. Son, he was in the band of the guy who wrote music for the "Ascenseur pour L´echafaud". Now go and buy the "Night Dreamer" cd.
Follow Ups:
Hi Dmitry,On my DVD and in the Internet Movie Database, the music is credited to James Newton Howard, not Wayne Shorter (who I am a big fan of).
Why do you believe the music is Wayne's?
If you're a fan, like me, you have no doubt noticed his saxophone solos throughout the soundtrack.
Hi Dmitry,Now I have to listen again. I did enjoy the saxophone I heard during the film.
The link you provide takes me to an album of music inspired by the movie. Is that Wayne on the soundtrack?
I must listen again.
--Is that Wayne on the soundtrack?Yes. All the tenor and soprano work is his, I believe. One of his *good* 90s performances, which are not easy to come by.

If you buy Shorter's " Rêveur de Nuit " cd the doors of perception will open juuuust a little bit wider.
Yes papa, but it will not make this film better....As I would not include this film in ANY best list, apart.... from the actors nostrils one...
