  I am interested in the relationship you see in the planning of the "final solution" and the JDC. The JDC was founded during WWI to assist European Jews that suffered from the war. There were XXX,XXX displacements and deaths of Russian Jews for example. As so much of Hitler's ideas came out of his perception of German humiliation in WII, did the Nazis see the JDC as an especially powerful, subversive international organization?

    All my material is in print and I have not investigated the Web. But to answer one question, "Did the Nazis see the JDC as an especially powerful, subversive international organization?" No! They found it very, uh, cooperative.

    Of course this goes against the grain of what they teach us in school, but then the truth in this case is very disspiriting.

      Not only did the JDC continue into WWII, but exists today and passed $1 billion total in aid from 1914 to the early 70's.

      Regarding your comment, "No! They [the Nazis] found it [the JDC] very, uh, cooperative": I am interested in your source of information that the JDC was cooperative with the Nazis. As you mention your relevant material is in print and not accessible on the Web, would you please summarize?

      I agree that such a truth would be very disspiriting and further, that it is important enough historically not to gloss over. It is too easy today for film to distort and/or omit facts while pretending thoroughness and accuracy.
