I am an Arnold Schwarznegger fan but the latest one is NOT one that I am looking forward to. I think I heard a review or maybe an interview with the tough guy himself and he was pitching the movie - not that I dont have my soft side (love a whole bunch of movies) but I am dont like the idea of this one.As for Matrix, I LOVED it - cannot imagine a sequel but it is possible - just depends on how they twist it; Matrix rates among my few best but I love all sci-fi except Contact (even like the hilarious ones like "Fifth Element". Now a sequel to that would fly would it not? You are right that I am dreading that they come out with a bad sequel to matrix but I am not one to criticise a sequel until I see it.
Any sequel to a good "art" movie is usually going to be bad I think.
Have not seen "Lost in Space" what is it about? serious no holes in sci fi plot or supposed to be funny and not to be taken too seriously - either is okay as long as it is not like "contact" - supposed to be serious but is too unbelievable for me (maybe the unscientific supernatural is not to my taste)
Another favourite - Mission Impossible. Hope #2 does not spoil things.
Well, I am a sci-fi and art movie fan. But I do not watch anything else except on video.
... I was so hoping for a director's cut to Mission Impossible. I thought that the editor left the plot on his room's floor. At least it seemed that way.
is fun, fast-paced romp through the space-time continuum. It even seemed to be the 1st place I saw 3-space CG as upgraded to slow-motion in "Matrix". The plot was a juxtaposition of an intellectually gifted dysfunctional family with all the internal traumas of teenager peer alienation, with life & death struggles from one obstacle to the next. Plus, it was plenty of delightful humorous dialog spiking the scenes. You'll like it.
