I have not seen the Death Race 2000 - was it really good? Also feel like renting the Happiness for sure.In The Devil's Advocate Al was dominating like the low Sun blinding you - so everyone else pailed, even if he perhaps overplayed a bit. I don't even recall that scene. Some say he is too much alike in many roles, but I love most of them, even the rather corny Scent one. It is nice to have guys like him, Robert De Niro, Gene and some others around.
..."Death Race 2000" is a low budget, entertaining, "bad" movie, set in the future(?). A US fascist government sanctions a cross-country road race in which drivers score points by running over various pedestrians (different point scores for running down children, women, the elderly and handicapped, etc.). David Carradine starred as the legendary Frankenstein, multiple winner of previous Death Race competitions. Sylvester Stallone played Frankenstein's arch rival, an over-the-top Mafia gangster named Machine Gun Joe ViTurbo. Paul Bartel directed, and his wife, Mary Woronov, plays a cowgirl competitor in the race.
Saw a preview trailer for a live-action, big budget version of Bullwinkle and Rocky (the campy cartoon with the moose and flying squirrel). Robert DeNiro plays Boris Badanoff. Don't know who was cast as Natasha.
Jason Alexander plays Boris Badenov, Rene Russo plays Natasha, and Robert De Niro plays Fearless Leader.
I've seen the trailer. It definitely falls into that "anticipating but dreading" category for me. It could be so easy to mess this one up.
