Both the wife and I made the mistake of re-reading TT just prior to seeing the film, and we spent most of the ride home dissecting plot deviations rather than acknowledging what a great ride the film is.

I'm not going to be able to resist the temptation to re-read Return of the King-it's been calling to me from the shelf for several days now :)
