that hugh grant just plays "himself" on screen - wasn't that also the same criticism said of cary grant?moviegoers just like these actors as "themselves" because they are already adorable.

Actually on films he is " too much " of himself...that leads to own caricature and manierisme...But I like him too...Just want a better Hugh....
in four weddings and a funeral, the story goes that the filmmakers thought hugh was too handsome and decided to temper it by giving him a "bad" haircut to make him fit the character he was playing.of course, nothing could change hugh from being "hugh" on screen, and women started fawning over this bad haircut. hugh grant could play the hunchback of notre dame or the swamp thing, and we'd still be looking at "hugh" on the screen.
Well on " About a boy " he almost make it...What a bad haircut ! Only Harrison can top that....
