Good. It start like Boccace, Pao did film it as we know.
On the hills of Florence.
Close world.
Nobody can escape. In the town the cholera. Here the fascism.
The same.
Intelectually chalanging.
It is miroiring the dark side, it smell like hell, it belongs in the Vatican closed caves with the marquis and other Michelangelo.
If you are disturb from all the filth human can imagine, or do.
You are not an adult, and you certainly not diserve to be.Or you do not know the abyss of nature. Nature create it. We are the sevant. No morale. Beyond it. No education beyod the limit. And religion is death, Paolo the communism says.
And Artists loves bourgeois..heu..heu Joking?
But that was only at first glance, or better at first grade, then the second one is political.
Sexuality is a weapon to have power on others. Society.
This film is Dantesque.
Nazisme, cruelly put to film.
The output is sick. The allegorie is true. And I am quite sure that Poalo had some fun in making it. The actors, not really good, no one seems to believe that it is really serious, and you can see a smile in some scene where there should be not one.( amateurs ) Marxisme teaching from Pasolini . For me at the antipode of erotisme.
Follow Ups:
a nice looking dvd of pasolini's the decameron is now available from mgm. (older versions of the cantebury tales, arabian nights and decameron are now out of print and go for big dollars on ebay.)an amusing movie that i can only compare to something like porky's or there's something about mary, as it focuses on the hanky-panky and sh** in the stories. certainly not as depressing as salo.
I have to admit this is a funny comparisson. Decameron has always been a rather special book for me and I was eager to see the film. I was surprised but not disappointed. It is unmistakably Pasolini, it is not just the film based on a book.Somehow I don't think Porky's is something that came to my mind while watching it.
