<<In his earlier works, there is an artistic aesthetic that does not appear to be motivated by profit ("Glen Or Glenda").
His later works are just hack jobs made for profit (e.g., "Orgy of the Dead").

He settled for anything, bigger is better. He could have scaled down the horrible props and made a half way decent film. He replaced lagosi with a chiropractor!I think plan nine, was his attempt to become rich and famous, not express himself artistically....for apparently he had no real cohesive vision.
