  I have rented it several times. I'm not sure if it is historically spot-on, but it shows (to me) how boring, lifeless, and without intrigue American history is. It seems a royalty/feudal system is needed to really make things interesting.

    Historcally, I think it was ok, ( long time since I saw it ) the French protestants against the catholics and the dreadful " night of the St. Barthelemy......

  To look at, who did play on this film, as I did only remember Adjani..I though maybe Marceau had an second role....
  The picture ( beside beautiful Adj. ) was too brutal and bloody for my taste...
