I just saw Ghost World and what a ride ! Like seeing Jurassic Park with your left eye and Porky's with your right eye at the same time listening to your wife entertain migrant workers in the kitchen!!

They're high school graduates - and the world's got hell to pay! Hot new talents Thora Birch and Scarlett Johansson sneak into your heart and stay there in this uproariously funny comedy from the acclaimed director of Crumb. When their classmates head for college, Enid (Birch) and Rebecca (Johansson) focus their energies on tormenting those around them! From a goofy convenience store clerk (Renfro) to an eccentric art teacher (Douglas), these two saboteurs wreak havoc on all those who cross their paths. But when they zero in on an oddball loner (Buscemi) looking for Miss Right, their seemingly innocent meddling threatens to shatter one of their hearts� not to mention their lifelong friendship.
You must see this movie not once, but twice, because I had to see it and someone else must be punished!!

I actually like this one a lot, mainly because it rips at suburbia and political correctness. Not to mention that Thora Birch is, well... do I even need to say it?
Obviously not your cup of tea, but it's nice to see that it bothered you enough to inspire you to write a few paragraphs, nonetheless.

The kids today; they're as great as we were. Some of them, anyway. There is hope.

I was not quite as enthusiastic over this film, perhaps seeing it twice is the ticket. I do believe that Buscemi deserved all kinds of praise for his best role yet. He played it with great sensitivity and depth compared to his usual oddball and eccentric characters. He alone makes it worth the see.

  Buscemi is great ,and I have enjoyed him in all his roles even this dud showed his talent.I won't watch this one again but will look for Buscemi in other films .
