Secrets and Lies?
Eric
Follow Ups:
Measure, would not be the appropriated word, I think for trying to make a comparison between the two, I would prefer, continuation, a far more dark sequel it is, S & L was more smiling, and the society problems on a lighter touch, in this one there is a kind of deseparation, a la Camus or Simenon, and Sartre, till the end you see scene that you do not want o see, people bubling through the life they are stuck in...Till the end...the final is the redemtion of love said with so much " pudeur " that tears come like a fountain pouring down your face, very exactly the contraire one, you could have in an Holywood pudding...
One of the players, the " sexy girl " in the film is so strong that her figure do not go out of my mind since I saw this picture, her humanity from little bitch to a humanist grandeur has to be seen any where else.
This girl has I predict one of the greatest carriere in front of her.
I will memorise her name soon.
What did nerve me a little was one of the major player, doing every thing right bur having his mouth open like a carpe...
Hope it help.
And when you have seen it ( I hope you will ), be so kind and let me know your views...

that sounds like Mike Leigh all right, thanks for that, I'll check it out!

just read on the Net she died last September aged 41; she was also in Lars van Thiers Breaking the Waves, I'm shocked!
She won "Best European Actress of the Year" award, but the article is somewhat ambiguous and I'm not sure if this was for her performance in Naked (but it wouldn't surprise me)

Shame about Katrin Cartlidge. There was a mention in my local paper of her passing last year, and I was saddened by it. Very talented.
