You've convinced me. I always used to get a kick out of that character on SNL.Wine and film matching - may be the new rage!
" Sun is bad for you. Everything our parents said was good is bad. Sun, milk, red meat... college."
Follow Ups:
by the popcorn and wine combo?I add a splash of cherry 7-up to my merlot and it is just peachy. And when I feel adventurous, I make popcorn the old fashioned way, in a pan on the stove. "If I'm really getting jiggy with it," I burn it ever so slightly and put some butter drippings on it :o) Makes for a delightful evening. Life is in the little details.
Enjoy the film!

My only objection to mixing wine with whatever, would be don't use a really GOOD wine. I mean mixing soda with a $10 merlot is one thing. Mixing it with Chateau Petrus could get you shot in France (actually just being an American in France is enough right now, eh Patrick?).Now popcorn with Crown and Coke - THAT's a winning combo!

Actually we shot Americans who donīt buy a Petrus, at least....
What a mixture ! Cherry / up and wine...Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........
I spent 6 months in Budapest when I was in college and all the students there liked to drink red wine with Coke! Except the Greek students - who liked to mix orange juice with ouzo. Barf! My brother stayed at a super fancy hotel in Bali 3 years ago and witnessed Japanese vacationers drinking $200 bottles of red wine from glasses of ice.Personally, the cherry 7-up and Merlot combo sounds foul . . but whatever floats your boat. I like my red wine neat and at room temperature. But then I'm a fan of the shandy - dropping a dallop of frozen lemonade concentrate into a 22 oz glass of cheap beer. My friends pretend to gag when they see me making it.
into red wine...very yummy tastes like dessert. I like my wine diluted (watered wine...Latin style :o)) I enjoy the sweetness of red wine but it is too full bodied for me... I also dilute for necessity sometimes I develop random allergic reactions to sulfites. The Chilean wine has been the most favorable to me.mp
And bad taste is still bad taste...
I used to add a little crushed ice and diet orange soda...to a sweet merlot....tastes like sangria...honestly.Whatever floats your boat...
:o)
