and all the rest. Just saw Dark City last night and I think it's one of the best movies of the 90's. Of course the story is an old concept that's been redone plenty of times, but I think this is the best one out of all of them. 13th floor wasn't too bad either, like that twist in the plot. The Matrix didn't really do anything for me, it needed more story that special effects. Anyone like this genre of movie? What's your favorite?
I guess I am in the minority but I thought Matrix was excellent! The sound was great through my stereo as well. Oh well, to each his own.MV
Collin, I totally agree with you. Dark City is one of the best films I've seen in the last ten years. Not totally original, but it's pretty fresh, and the homages make it an even better film. It may be a classic. 13th Floor is a distant second. Pretty good, but does not approach the greatness of Dark City. I was frankly bored with the Matrix. Lots of SFX, but who cares since the movie is lame. Good luck!
Blade Runner

hi,
i started reading sci fi in jr hi about 35 years ago. Dark City
seemed like chapter 1. Whoopppee, they bagged some aliens. Scifi is basically about how technology affects us; so they finally get their hands
on it, and the movie ends. Seen that plot several times before; and it alsways hits me about the same. It's a struggle for freedom that uses
aliens as trendy oppressors.
