What's the word? The trailer looked like fun.
If it's sobby dreck like Billy Elliot, give me the red card.
Follow Ups:
yes it is a formula, but it is exceedingly well done. Lots of actors I've never seen, all of them more or less hitting perfect notes. A feel-good movie, very warm. A movie is never quite what you expect- this one was much more involving and enjoyable than I ever would have expected. I even tried to see it again, but my immature nephew insisted on Anger Management. Now there is a real "waste of film stock"!

i was pleasantly surprised (low expectations mebbe)...saw it last friday night. lots of cliches and a bit of sappiness if you already know the stereotypes. def helps if you know a bit of the culture to get some of the jokes.not a surprise it did well in the UK...US is less familiar with indian life. when the sister or our protagonist enters, i turned to my gf and said "damn! thats YOUR sister!" lots of that during the movie.
go see it.
It is much more fun than that drip Billy Elliot.
Not sobby at all.Well worth a look.
