Of the " Hollywood´s " one ? I would say " yes " of all I did see, yes yes.
The actors are ALL very fine, Mrs. Hayed wonderful ( body & soul ) even the man playing Trosky is acceptable.
This is easily the best film on painting ever, it is not told like a book ( most films on the subject are ) This picture is INNOVATIVE even it connect easily to the " Chien Andalou " think of Breton & Dali ". It is moving, human, erotic at time, creative, from every thing something but with no heavy hand...in one culinary word...well cooked.
The sound is very good, the music very good to fair, the picture quality on this DVD outstanding.
What do I want more ? If you misse it, you are an idiot.PS: The director ( Julie Taylor Born 1952 ) was the one with the " TITUS " film.
PS II : What A body....NOW I understand Faust....
Follow Ups:
Very nice movie indeed .As a visual experience, "Frida" emulates the colors and style of her paintings .One could ask for a bit more passion .( compared to " Pollock " for ex )We don' t learn a lot about her life as an artist , mostly her marriage...Speaking of Breton , Frida was his wife's lover when staying in France.
Yes, that´s true, a little more about her...would not have been bad, but they prefered to put weight on a her body suffering what is actually well documented by her paitings...that is of course to less....

If you make an search you will see ....
To tell Patrick to see a year-old Almodovar film!Just joking, gentlemen, no problem! But I haven't seen it yet - it went by as I was home-locked. Time to look for a DVD... I guess.
Yes got the dvd! I will have sometimes a second look at it.It is a good film.
Certainly better than Chicago!Didn't you see Pollack? It was terrific and received great notice, an oscar for best supporting actress, but little distribution. Unfortunately, the general public here is not interested in someone's true story unless their fame is "physical". Painting is too pansy.
No, but I read about it and it is on my list when it will appear on DVD.
From Lautrec to Gauguin, movies on painters are not so seldom.
