All of them are must see's. They all offer something to think about, that is for sure. Even the weaker ones - like the Virgin Spring. Or is it not really weaker - just not as deep as others?
It is only when the crafted pictures and dialog ( or lack of ) are so strong that it goes far above our logical brain, deep into you subconscient, and then open in an unknow language to us...
This is so strong, that analysing is unnecessary and almost impossible.
Some of his films are not intend to be seen twice. One view is strong enough for the rest of your life...So for the " Virgin "....

Bergman's films indeed leave long lasting impressions. Often I can't recall the details, but the atmosphere, the mood, the tension is still here.Inthat vein... what do you think of Tarkovsky's Sacrifice? Too derivative?

Well, I must say to my shame that Russian films ave generally not a great...how should I say..sex appeal on me..of courseI have seen the classic...They may are what Hich for you is....But I am willing to learn.....
