I showed the older original to my kids after they saw the newer version.
They agreed it was much scarier.
Of course, they don't always agree with me. I can't get them to appreciate Andalousian ( spelling) Dog.

I live in the UK and have found out where the house exists.
It is in BORHAM WOODS,Near were they shot the Star wars film.I hope your children enjoyed it.
I was really scared when i first saw it many moons ago.
The atmosphere is truly evil.Theres loads of old houses like this in England just waiting for a good old ghost story.
There again i guess we will be treated to special computer effects and weak plot as usual.Would be neat to take some pics of these buildings,
The early black and white film THE HAUNTING has a great house which is now a big hotel.Just sleep with the light on,off course.
