Newly-restored 35 mm. print, refurbished audio, extra 20 minutes cut for American first release. Showing locally, at the Brattle Theatre. Never seen it! Should I go?clark
Follow Ups:
Once Upon a Time in America, a better flick by Sergio Leone, it has everything you could want in a movie including a plot & Tuesday Weld. I think I saw that OUATIA just came out in restored DVD.
I'd like to know if the "refurbished audio" makes the music a lot less clipped and compressed. My only gripe about the movie is the music crescendos sound like they are overloading something in the recording chain causing some nasty clipping. Morricone gets no respect....
The films a classic
Morrocione isn't Nina Rota, but his scores do suit this type of film
Please post your impression!
