Written, directed and starred by Julie Davis, this is one fun film about men, women, sex, love and all that nonsense that usually surrounds the above.Tucked away by the Sundance channel into the 11pm slot... given the overt sexual nature of the film that choice seems logical at first, until you realize that we - and our kids - are fed steady diet of garbage like Sex in the City during the prime hours. Yet this movie that actually has something to offer for your mind - in (but of course!) addition to your glandulal sensations - is apparently considered more dangerous than the typical MTV clip.
I suspect this movie was hated by feminists, and Julie had become a modern feminist anti-Christ - say, how could a feminist tolerate a woman seeking a man to make her life fuller? But this is what makes it so much more real and true - for men and women have been created to be together.
If your kid has done more than ten hours of HBO and MTV in his life, this movie is not going to offend him. In fact, if you substituted this film for the next episode of Sex in the City, you would do a lot of good for his development... man, you would even run the risk of actuating his thinking centers!
