A singular voice. The movie was too soft, due to Paul Giamotti or the writers, who are friends of our hero.
Follow Ups:
I think it was wise to soften it a bit. Harvey as portrayed verges on symptoms of mental illness. Tough to get beyond cliches of behavior. The comic books did a better job, I thought. Yet, integrity may be a mental illness. What say ye liberty guy?Still, Harvey's my homie. I was born and lived in Cleveland for many years. Harvey Pekar, Tom Waits, Rootboy Slim and who else come to mind for delineating the experience of the underclass in America? Poor but proud.
