Does anyone here remember the first time they went? Its very popular in California, we now have lesbian jokes during the movie. You have to come to San Francisco to hear em'! Its a new part of the cult experience. By the way the jokes are light hearted and not to be harmful towards the gay people in any way. Ya have to love this film at least once. Going every week religiously is a bit too much but its fun every now and then.
First time I went was in '81; went with fellow lab members from grad school, including my advisor. Last time I went was '92; they'd banned the water and the lighters, but still allowed rice throwing. If you need an authentic Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper as a prop, I can supply one. Enjoyed seeing Richard O'Brien's return to the big screen in 'Dark City' (must've answered the casting call for tall, thin, bald, creepy-looking guys). Don't bother seeing 'Shock Treatment', his Rocky Horror sequel!Having a very sorry 4th of July. I had free passes to the Ted Nugent, Night Ranger, Quiet Riot, Slaughter concert at a friend's nightclub, but it was cancelled! Between this and the Virgin not putting out (see below), my "posse" was left to Rock 'n' Bowl instead (100 lanes!).
All the essentials. Check them out at Barelylegal.org
