very good film about a key artist.
i also enjoyed the work of the set designers. especially the long island of the 1940s.
Follow Ups:
As a movie it was o.k. but a little long and tedious. But it left me with the impression that Pollack was some kind of jerk that I really didn't care much about.
The set was pretty made, Boy am I glad that some one ( you ) else did find some positive side on this picture too..haha..
i think the negativity towards "pollock" has to do with a pre-concieved notion of pollock the artist, so the film makes little difference of it's own merits..
it's amazing that he still gets people worked up 60 years later.what about piet mondrian? he doesn't seem to generate so much heat. ...prettier colors?
That is exactly what I have said !
Mondrian...van Gogh for the poor?
