I saw it and I didn't like it one bit. It was too heavy-handed and pretentious, I thought. I watched it looking forward to its end. Petrenko was good, but the whole film revolting. I felt similar emotiong watching "Idi I Smotri". I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but both films made me want to stop watching them - something dehumanizing perhaps. In that regard the impression was aking to that from Sokurov's later works. Both directors make you feel like you have just swallowed a worm.

Klimov's earlier works were very weak. The "Adventures of a Dentist" was simply ridiculously weak, and his much heralded "Dobro pozhalovat, ili postoronnim vkhod vospreshchyon" was not much better either.
