Then you're gonna see the third one. Face facts. No--no Mart, don't argue, it's gonna happen. Accept it.

On the other hand, if you haven't seen 1 and/or 2, you're not gonna see it.

I've heard what, in fact, makes sense to hear about it: the plot is laughable, the graphics are mindblowing. Personally I think it's a shame they botched it so badly...but then again, the first one wasn't really so hot in the dialogue dept. either. It's just been easy to romanticize in light of the eye-roller that the second one turned out to be. Too bad. They had a good idea and could've done more with it, but it sounds like they stalled at the idea of Agent Smith as the ultimate villain, which is so lame.

But, anyway, I'm not going to lie, I'm gonna see the thing this weekend. For the sake of closure. I will ooh and aah at the effects, which cost more to make than everyone on this board combined will make in their entire lifetimes. Then, that's it, I'm done with Hollywood blockbusters.

Until, uh, the third Lord of the Rings comes out, I mean.
