... what I call the "golden calf" scene seemed to be the clueless producers pandering to what they perceived as their chief demographic. The condescension seemed to be a cheap theatrical ploy IMHO as fill as so much of what comprised the haphazard plot. All the slick fashioned smartly tailored direction renown in the original was gone. Maybe if they threw out the crap they could've made one sequel. Maybe.
