Though entertained, I was disappointed. Probably the best technical presentation of sailing ships and battle in Nelson's Navy but seriously marred contemporary touchy-feely characters that have no accuracy whatever relative to historic facts. A plodding, broken story line full of unanswered major questions. Crowe's character was more the warmhearted bosun than a ship's captain of 1805. The shipboard string duets were ridiculous and the grainy dark cinematography distracting. The "Capt. Horatio Hornblower" with G. Peck in the 50's was a far better script and story. "Master" didn't even rise to the level of the recent PBS Hornblower series in story or characters.
