Thanks for the recommendation; I'll have to check it out. Also, I never saw Milos Forman's version ("Valmont") or Roger Vadim's. But I remember a big intake of air by male audience members in the theater when Uma Thurman took her top off for John Malkovich.
...that for, you guessed it, the Leonardo-the-pocket-hunk. Although I admit she had played some hot scenes, that constant facial expression of hers... man... the one of the man (yes, or a woman) whose laxative started to act in the middle of the crowded opera during the second act.I would not mind her staying home cooking for the man with the Hollywood's longest... oh, OK, you know what I mean. Wouldn't be any great loss for that art.
Anyway, I don't think I will rush to get the Forman's film, unless you recommend it strongly. The Vadim's movie is a very different ball of wax. I am not sure if I had seen it, so given the list of names there, I think it is a must see.
She worked as a cook on the charter fishing boat from San Diego to Baja California that my father used to vacation on. Imagine his surprise when I sent him a tape of "The Grifters" (hey look, guys, it's Annie).Film joke of the week:
Q: What's the difference between Francois Truffaut and Monica Lewinsky?
A: Truffaut did only "400 Blows".
He doesn't deserve it!
