Saw this one last night and can recommend it, overall. I think Michael Caine is doing his best work (along with his performance in "Little Voice") in years. Singer Erykah Badu is also pretty good in her acting debut. Toby Maguire? I don't get it. I see very little going on in that face, which is frozen with Mona Lisa's knowing smile most of the time. Charlize Theron is talented and beautiful, but I'm suffering from overload with all of her recent filmwork.

I don't think this one is the Best Picture of the Year, but it is a better voter choice than "The Green Mile", which comes off as a phony product and emotionally manipulative by comparison.
