I don't have a problem with an adult Santa movie, but there are comedic things, deeper than repeated over the top use of the F word which could have been explored, but weren't. It kind of reminded me of the lack of imagination and taste displyed so well by Howard Stern, day after day after day. I also have a problem with dragging kids into the gutter language. There were several lines of dialogue that delivered to a room of adults may be funny, but delivered in front of and to 7 - 12 year olds during the filming of the script borders on child abuse. This film is not amusing.
Follow Ups:
I think that could have been toned down a bit. And, yes, Billy Bob makes his roles sooo real. He is a dirt road treasure.BTW, the opening voiceover while he was at the bar was totally priceless! This movie smelled like the Farrelly brothers. Liked it.
personally, I can see where some people like SR wouldn't find it funny, but there are people that one comes across in life, that really talk that way. I've met a few and it seems that they have no clue as to how they're speaking. Swearing is just second nature. As far as child abuse goes...ya think?
Anyhow, BBT is the epitome of trailer trash in this one and he alone made it an interesting snap shot of somebody who shouldn't be having kids.
