...I am gonna spin the Sokurov's Russian Ark on the large screen with full surround sound. I told my wife she will not be allowed to get out of her seat till the very end.
The projector gets its video through the DVI of course.
BTW - I have a question for you. Last night I was flipping the channels and when I switched to one of the HDTV channels there was Bach's St. John Passion, the concert from some super-modern concert hall in Munich. I only caught the last ten minutes or so, and it was incredible.
My question... when the soloists came on stage, there was a badly disfigured singer, he is hardly over 1 meter tall, with intelligent face.
Do you know that singer? I think you should since I suspect he is German.

    If the Ark is on, definitely see it, seeing it is a good idea, even if you don't like it at the end. I definitely felt cheated, as that museum is like a vital organ to me, and I was hoping for something better.
    As far as the Passion, I already have several versions, but sounds like one more will be on order shortly.

      Passion..hum... I only have this VHS US copy....very bad.

        BTW - when I said Passion I meant the Bach's St. John Passion, not the Passion in the Desert film - I just want to hear Thomas sing that oratorio.

        I just had four days ago " Bach Christmas Oratorium " for two hours in a cold, hard seat ( and yes my " posterieur is fragile " ) in a nice church in the Rheingau ( you will see it ) from the 12th century.
        I will tape it and see it tomorrow.
