That is an attraction. But I find just a few times a year satisfies that craving. And what do I find here after a long hiatus? Victor taking potshots at Citizen Kane (Blasphemer!) and waaay too much discussion about LOTR!
And someone needs to talk to AuPh - Merlot on New Years Eve? And probably a Texas Merlot!

;^)PS: We'll be popping corks on some champaign at a party tonight, as well!

any wine lover who appreciates strength and sublety---and the skill to bring them together.
hooray for cabernet!
Actually, there's a terrific Chilean merlot under the Santa Rita label. Also Vendange.

Merlot--It's not just for Liberals anymore!
Merlot goes well with some food, but I still don't know why I'd pay twice as much for a Petrus as a Margaux (given similar vintages). Irrational - yep, your right, it must be a liberal thing!
And for tonight? Anything with "methode champenoise" on the bottle, thankyouverymuch!

I need the substance and well, body, you know... Although I have had some Merlot what was HEAVY and full-bodied... of course it also cost a lot, so maybe next year, with better economy!BTW - it was Shiraz last year too.
:o)

And do hope it will stay that way.
I could not bring up the thing with the Merlot..too soon after the LOTR affair.....Bonne année!

As for Victor, we agree to disagree, but are in pain to find something worth...That must be " Ame soeur "....
