I think your comments were on the money Steve. i feel that Pacino is starting to be an actor again after taking a break throughout the 90s. unfortunately he made a bunch of movies while taking a break from acting--not good. the worst was that one with keeanu where he played a devil. i don't think that was supposed to be a comedy, but if not what do you call it?
Al Pacino's work in "Glengarry Glen Ross" blew me away; highly recommended. I don't recommend "Any Given Sunday", but I don't think it was Pacino's fault (Oliver Stone + football conspiracy = migraine headache).
Ricky Roma. "to help grown men who are going out there to try to earn a living. . .you fairy. . .you company man". i think that was in the late 80s though. in the 90s we have such wonders as Carlito's Way, Heat, and Scent of a Woman. Was it my imagination, or did he approximate the exact same character in each? and he got the oscar for Scent, proving once again that the academy has its head up its butt.
