I spell it all out for you how you are the one getting so personal first and all you can do is say I'm "A sick person"?
I do not agree with Troy's rationalization as far as not paying to see the movie, and I don't condone it. But I do absolutely consider him a friend. Even if he does have lousy taste in music.

You like me, you really like me!The Ramones suck.
I swear, I woulda never guessed sneaking into a theater (something I actually do quite rarely) would have pissed off so many people. It's not exactly like I'm stealing from a blind panhandler . . .
In this neck of the woods we name streets after people who make music you don't like. Part of why I like it around here.> It's not exactly like I'm stealing from a blind panhandler . . .
No, but it is stealing, or something like it. I do think it's more a case of stealing from the theater than the studio, but that doesn't make it right, either, ya weirdo.
Seriously, I know it's hardly a huge crime, but you can make a much better rationalization for P2P downloading than you can for doing what you did. Which I don't have any interest in getting into, let's just say if I sneaked into a movie theater--never have--I probably wouldn't be as cavalier about it. But that's me. I'm not surprised that people reacted to the way you related the story. I don't think it's that big a deal, and I don't really care all that much, but I do see it as a small example of something that's wrong. I don't think anybody's getting from you that you see this. On some level you have to accept that if you're going to try to rationalize it, you should go about it in a different way if you don't want people to react with harsh judgments. One can go overboard & still not be wrong.
